A Kiss From An Old Flame
Whilst tidying up the apartment in preparation for selling it, I came across a bundle of what can best be described as 'miscellaneous musical memorabilia' dating back from the days when I was part of that ol’ dotcom magic at ARTISTdirect.
So, with a new scanner on the desk, I figured I may as well post some of this stuff up, and you never know, someone might dig it.
First up is a track sheet from the recording of the song “Kiss From An Old Flame” by Mercury Rev. The Revs were one of the easiest bands to work with for content, not least due to Adam Snyder's diaries from the road (blogging ahead of it's time, I guess) but mostly because of the sheer mass of items they were willing to share with their fans; personal photos, flyers, recording notes and even the odd souvenir beermat, usually annotated by hand on an attached Post-It by Jonathan Donahue (vocalist).
