Bienvenue à Paris
There's nothing like arriving in a foreign city, primed and ready to see the sights then discovering it's a public holiday.
- The Musée du Louvre was closed...
- The Musée d'Orsay was closed...
- The Centre Pompidou was closed...
- The Musée du Moyen Age was closed...
Get the picture? On the plus side, it was way warmer than the UK that day. The Eiffel Tower is the single most stupid big thing I've ever seen (and I mean that in a wholly awestruck, complimentary way), and I managed to get some great photos in too.
