I am "Alive"
The last Korn record “Take A Look In The Mirror” featured a track that's familiar to some of us ‘old-school’ fans from way back in the day.
Track #9, “Alive” has featured before in Korn's back catalogue - if you look hard enough. Way back in 1994, around the time of their self-titled début album, you could be lucky enough to get hold of a copy of the band’s four-track demo that led to their deal with Immortal/Epic.
One of the tracks on that demo (the, curiously titled “Neidermeyer's Mind”) was called... wait for it: “Alive”. As it happened, the song never made it as far as their first album, but instead evolved into the song “Need To”.
I was hoping that the album with it's retrospective packaging (the older promo photos, the ‘Skrapbook’) might have touched upon this, but hey, they didn't, and so I figured it was time for the former korn.com webmaster to fill in the gaps for our younger readers.
