Whiteout

It was a wee bit foggy today, to say the least. It was even worse on the way back home. This is the downside of the long country roads that make up most of my route to work... great in the summer, and a bit bleak come winter. It's also a remarkable reminder to get hold of some handgrip covers.

(Oh, the interesting pea-soup colour scheme is courtesy of my T610, which if you believe that link, is art. Or something like that.)

It's not normally how they do weight reduction

Bump and indeed ouch. After just over three years and 24,000 miles I finally succumbed to the road (and indeed the black ice as well).

Aprilia Atlantic 500 parcel rack

By sheer good luck, I managed to acquire a great looking retro-style parcel rack for my Aprilia Atlantic 500 a few weeks back.

Resetting the service counter on an Atlantic 500

One of the daft issues that arises with owning an Aprilia Atlantic is that no-one (particularly the dealership) seems to have much of a clue about how to reset the service counter. Worse than that, the instructions that do filter down from Aprilia are vague at best.

Public Service Announcement

Gilera DNA riders seem to think a 50cc scooter shaped a bit like a 'proper' bike makes it comparable to a 500cc bike.
